September 23rd - Happy Fall! I’m happy, Fall is my favorite season and I have three fun updates to share with you today. The first is that I finally got around to updating The Muse and The Magpie shop on Etsy — there are over three dozen new listings. I’d been meaning to do this since March when I closed my booth at the Cotton Company, it just took a while. (Confession: I find listing things on Etsy a little tedious and it’s an easy task to put off until “tomorrow”.) But they’re up now! And all are original, small, and affordable pieces — perfect for brightening up a spot at home or gift giving. Secondly, I’m having an art GiveAway for my email list in October as a thank you for subscribing. The randomly chosen winner will receive a collage floral on 5x7” wood panel created as part of the “Blooms” collection for Art-O-Mat. More information is below, please note: if you are a current subscriber and would like to be in the drawing please reply to this email! And third, on Sunday, October 12th I’m holding an open house here at my home studio from 1:00-5:00. Having been a vendor at local markets, had several booth spaces over the years and being a kind of compulsive maker, I have lots of inventory. We’re also, as mentioned in previous newsletters, looking at a move in 2026. So I do need to start clearing out, but mostly — because I put my heart into each of these little creations, I would love for them to find homes. Again, these are all original, small and affordable pieces of art and handmade decor. I realize it’s hard to take advantage of a studio sale if you’re not local, but please check out The Muse and The Magpie. I’ll also be taking appointments between the 9th and 11th for anyone who can’t make it to the open house, I’d be happy to do that by video.
